Good to know
- Many EU/Schengen nationals are visa-exempt for tourism up to 90 days per 180-day period; the UK is now also visa-free for short tourist/business stays of up to 90 days.
- Nationals who still require a visa (e.g. US, Canada, Australia, India) can obtain a single/multiple-entry e-Visa online at the official portal evisa.gov.tr before travel.
- The official e-Visa portal is evisa.gov.tr, run by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; beware of look-alike third-party sites that add service charges.
- e-Visa fees vary by nationality and are shown only after selecting country and passport type; US citizens are commonly charged around USD 50. Passport should be valid at least 150 days from entry.
