Good to know
- All foreign arrivals must submit the free Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online within 72 hours before arrival at tdac.immigration.go.th and present the QR code at the border. Mandatory since May 2025; use only the official site.
- Many nationalities (US, UK, EU, Australia, Canada — ~93 countries) are visa-exempt. As of July 2026 the visa-exempt stay is up to 60 days, extendable once by 30 days at an immigration office.
- A cabinet-approved cut of the visa exemption from 60 to 30 days is NOT yet law (takes effect 15 days after Royal Gazette publication). Verify at mfa.go.th before travel.
- Travellers needing a visa apply via the official e-Visa portal thaievisa.go.th; a single-entry tourist visa is roughly THB 1,000. Passport should be valid at least 6 months.
