- Citizens of visa-required countries need a short-stay (Schengen) visa to visit Denmark; it grants entry to the entire Schengen area for up to 90 days. Longer stays require a residence permit instead.
- Published fees: €90 for an adult, €45 for a child aged 6–12 (a separate service fee to the outsourcing visa application centre may also apply).
- Requirements include a passport issued within the last 10 years and valid 3+ months beyond departure, Schengen-wide travel insurance with minimum €30,000 coverage, a passport photo, proof of sufficient funds (around DKK 350/day, or DKK 500/day if staying in hotels), and, for private visits, an invitation from the Danish host. Applicants must appear in person and provide biometrics.
