- Croatia has applied the Schengen acquis in full since 1 January 2023 — short-stay visas for Croatia are Schengen (type C) visas, and a valid Schengen visa issued by any member state is also valid for Croatia.
- Nationals of countries on the EU visa-required list need a Schengen visa for stays of up to 90 days in any 180-day period; check your nationality in MVEP's official visa requirements overview.
- Apply at the competent Croatian embassy/consulate or a VFS Global visa application centre no more than 6 months and, as a rule, no later than 15 calendar days before the trip.
- Croatian short-stay visas issued until 31 December 2022, if not expired, remain valid for entry into Croatia only and do not allow entry into other Schengen states.
