- Nationals of EU member states and Schengen Agreement signatories do not need a visa to enter North Macedonia and may enter with a valid national ID card; UN travel-document holders are also exempt.
- Third-country nationals holding a valid multiple-entry Schengen (type C) visa, or EU/Schengen residence, may enter visa-free for up to 15 days per entry, within a 90-day/180-day limit.
- A temporary decision valid 1 January–31 December 2026 also allows holders of valid multiple-entry British, American or Canadian visas to enter visa-free for up to 15 days.
