- Whether you need a visa for Albania depends on your nationality: nationals listed in the official visa-regime table can enter visa-free, while all others must obtain a visa before travelling.
- You can enter Albania without a visa if you hold a valid, previously-used multiple-entry Schengen visa, or a valid visa/residence permit from an EU country, the USA or the UK — but you must leave Albania no later than 3 days after that document expires. Holders of a 10-year UAE residence permit (valid at least one year) may also enter visa-free.
- Seasonal regime: citizens of Saudi Arabia and Qatar may enter visa-free for tourism from 15 April 2026 until 31 December 2026 on a passport.
- A Type 'C' (short-stay) visa allows a stay of 90 days within any 180-day period (single, double or multiple entry; validity up to 5 years). A Type 'D' visa is for stays longer than 90 days.
- Nationals who need a visa apply through the official online system at e-visa.al or at the nearest Albanian embassy. Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the requested visa and have at least 2 blank pages. No visa fee is published on this page.
