About London Heathrow (LHR)

London Heathrow is the UK's largest and busiest airport and one of the world's principal long-haul hubs, handling the most international passengers of any European airport. It sits west of the city and is the main base for British Airways and Virgin Atlantic, offering intercontinental connections across every continent.
Passengers use four terminals — T2, T3, T4 and T5. Terminal 5 is the dedicated British Airways and Iberia home, while other airlines are split across T2 (the Star Alliance base), T3 and T4. The terminals are spread out and not all are within walking distance of one another, so check which terminal your flight uses before you set off and allow extra time for connections. Expect an extensive choice of shops, restaurants and airline lounges airside.
