Every airport that reaches Mexico City, compared — see how each one connects.
Mexico City packing listMexico City Benito Juárez (MEX)
The main international airport and the closest to the centre — 12 km, but 30–60 minutes by road depending on traffic. Use the authorised taxi desks or a ride-hail pickup point rather than a tout in arrivals.
Felipe Ángeles (NLU)
Budget carriersThe newer airport north of the city, where several Volaris and Viva routes moved. Fares are often lower, but the transfer is 50 km — budget 60–90 minutes by road, or take the Buenavista suburban train link.
Toluca (TLC)
Budget carriersWest of the capital and handy for Santa Fe or Polanco, less so for the historic centre. Direct coaches run to Terminal Poniente and Santa Fe in roughly 60–90 minutes depending on the pass over Las Cruces.
