Good to know
- A tourist visa is granted on arrival to the Maldives to travellers of all nationalities; no pre-approval is required and no visa fee is charged. The standard tourist stay is 30 days.
- Entry conditions: a passport/travel document with a Machine Readable Zone valid for your stay, a complete travel itinerary with confirmed onward/return tickets, a prepaid confirmed booking at a registered facility (resort, hotel or guesthouse), and sufficient funds for the stay.
- All travellers must submit the IMUGA Traveller Declaration electronically before travel — it can be completed up to 96 hours (4 days) before arrival and is free of charge; a declaration is required for both arrival and departure.
- Important: effective 15 April 2025, entry to the Maldives is not granted on Israeli passports.
- Complete the Traveller Declaration only on the official IMUGA portal (imuga.immigration.gov.mv); beware of look-alike sites that charge a fee.
