  • US, Canadian and Australian citizens must obtain an Electronic Visitor Visa (e-Visa) BEFORE travel; the fee is USD 80.90 paid online. Airlines will not board you without a validated e-Visa.
  • The ONLY official e-Visa portal is brazil.vfsevisa.com (operated by VFS Global for the Brazilian government). Avoid third-party sites.
  • EU, UK and many other nationalities remain visa-free for tourism/business for up to 90 days within any 180-day period, and cannot extend beyond 90 days per 180.
  • Passport must be valid for the duration of stay; working in Brazil always requires a separate work visa regardless of nationality.
